What are the Symptoms?
Women are more likely to have a ‘silent’ heart attack, one without clear signs or symptoms
Typical Symptoms
- Crushing chest pain, radiates to neck, jaw, down arm
- Accompanying nausea
- Shortness of breath not associated exertion
- Sudden rapid heart beat
Atypical Symptoms
- Unexplained exhaustion, fatigue, weakness
- Indigestion, stomach distress (squeezing, full feeling, unable to belch)
- Discomfort in upper shoulder blades in back
- Discomfort in one of both arms
- Unexplained dizziness
- Unexplained sweating not associated with exertion
